colour - the colour of the backgroung is used in a way that it belends with the white on the womans karate uniform while using the blue uniform to draw the audiences eye.

style and size of typography- The font is clear and strong and maybe be used to convey that even tought this woman is most likly blind shes not any weaker for it.also the main ponit of the text is to draw the readers eye towards theconected image.

primary codes - the woman isnt wearing any make up and shes wearing her proffessional uniform this shows her as storng and that she is a prossesional athlet and doesnt confrom to gender stereotypes her body langauage also show them bothas strong and skilled.

secondary codes - the image is designed in a way that the grains and fades around the image imply motion creatin gthe effect the image is in movition, the image is aslso placed in a place that your eye moves from the text down to the image then back to the text.

direct mode of address- the text directly addresses the reader this is used in a way to capture the readers attention.
